Title continues "Containing a Statement of the Reputed Wealth of About Fifteen Hundred Persons, With Brief Sketches of More Than One Thousand Characters." The Rich Men are listed alphabetically by county. The biographical sketches range from a short line to over a page. They often include information about how a man earned or inherited his wealth. Many contain an indication of the character and "benevolence" of a subject.

"Ancestors and Descendants of Robert Clements of Leicestershire and Warwickshire, England First Settler of Haverhill, Massachusetts." Percival Wood Clement, Patterson and White Co. Philadelphia, 1927. This genealogy covers many of the early New England settlers. There are many beautiful illustrations of hand written documents, historical buildings and landscapes. In the authors preface he states this genealogy was started by his father and that he began extending it in 1890. This 2 volumn set is about 1,000 pages of Clement family history. G10
