This and volumes III and IV are by John Truman Callicotte, II is by Jewel Callicoat Cabana. This 984 page volume may offer the most general overview of the family in America. In addition to a straightforward presentation of family lineage it contains, in appendices, parish and courthouse documents and indexes, cemetery burial listings, unconnected people of same or similar surname, and a chronology of pre-Civil War events involving the family. This book is a family history of many branches of the Carruth family which have emigrated to Massachusetts since 1730 from Ireland and Scotland. Descendants and their spouses are included up to those born in the early 1950s. The book has the largest section on John Carruth and Jemima Russell descendants, but there are other sections for the Carruth families that descend from William, Adam, Alexander, Walter, John of Dippany, etc. LP3

Autobiography of daughter of a Northern father and Southern mother, accompanied by biographical sketches of some notable ancestors and geealogical charts, with particular emphasis on Hamlin family of MA and ME and Carter and Brooke families influential in VA. Some genealogical or historical assertions may be debatable. Nonagenarian author and her close family, like some of her forbears, have had interesting political connections which help to spice up a sunny work of research and reminiscence. The dictionary contains approx 5,700 marriages of Charbonneau men and women in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and about 500 marriages in the United States. The time period is from 1671 to 1925. In most cases the entry would list the Groom, Groom's parents, Bride's name, Bride's parents, date and place of marriage. Sample of entry: 2668. (Olivier Charbonneau is the original ancestor of most of the Charbonneau's now in North America. Philadelphia, 1927. This genealogy covers many of the early New England settlers. There are many beautiful illustrations of hand written documents, historical buildings and landscapes. In the authors preface he states this genealogy was started by his father and that he began extending it in 1890. This 2 volumn set is about 1,000 pages of Clement family history. G10

The first part of this book traces his European ancestry in all known lines, including numerous royal and magna carta descents. The second part of the book deals with his descendants in America.
