"History of the Smith Family." Nathan Smith, 1862. including "Genealogy of the Smith Family" by Helen Whidden 1967. 199 pp plus errata. The earlier part of the book is a reprint of the "History of the Smith Family of Hants Count, Nova Scotia". The family emigrated from Ireland though origanally from England, living in Ireland from three generations. The genealogy of the Smiths includes entries into the 1960s as well as many hand writ- ten corrections. Includes many families: Clarke, Dimock, Douglas, Eaton, Fisk, Gilroy, Graham, Knowles, McCallum, Nelson, Payzant, Ripley, Shaw, Sterling, Whidden and related families. After a few generations, part of the family moved to Truro and Cornwallis, Nova Scotia and then all parts of North America. Genealogy is a descendents list with anecdotes.
