"Building an American Pedigree." Norman E. Wright, BYU Press, Provo, Utah, 1974. The best "how-to-do-it" book on American genealogy I've seen. Don't know how much help it will be via e-mail, but glad to share. LR

"Historical and Genealogical Atlas of the Eastern United States," Richard H. Jackson, Horizon Publishers, undated. Chronological maps from the revolutionary period to the present for 26 states east of the Mississippi River. If you really can't find some early place in the Eastern United States, I'll see what I can find. It certainly isn't definitive, but a good collection, all in all. No copyright listed. Don't know that it will copy well as its not a great printing job. LR
